pinterest

Pinterest?  Think of pinning your interests and you will pronounce it correctly!  If you haven’t yet heard of this new social media blockbuster, you have now.  Pinterest has pierced the ranks of the social-networking elite. Facebook, You Tube, Twitter and LinkedIn were the “big four.”  Well, now there are five, and don’t be surprised if Pinterest comes out #1!

“The site, which allows users to pin images of products they like on online scrapbooks, has seen its traffic grow almost sevenfold in five months and is ranked by one research firm as the No. 3 social network behind Facebook and Twitter, says the LA Times.

An article in Tech Crunch begins by saying, “It’s beautiful, it’s addictive, and now Pinterest is having its glorious hockey stick moment. TechCrunch has attained exclusive data from comScore showing Pinterest just hit 11.7 million unique monthly U.S. visitors, crossing the 10 million mark faster than any other standalone site in history.”

Business Insider reports that “Pinterest engages users twice as much as Twitter did at its age.” They go on to say that, relative to Pintersest revealing any internal data, “RJMetrics, a business intelligence software company, got tired of waiting. It wrote a script and analyzed random Pinterest user data.  All in, about 1 million pins were examined.”

Although 58% who use Pinterest are women, that doesn’t mean that Pinterest is only for women.  The 24-44 age group, the most sought-after by marketers, is the largest group utilizing Pinterest.  What does that mean?  If you are a business, you better have a presence there, and by and large, most businesses are still run by/owned by men.

Data from all of the above articles have huge implications for affiliate marketers and merchants, in more ways than just understanding the power of the growth, combined with the demographic group. Two articles tell the bigger story.  One by GTO Managed Affiliate Programs and the other by Venture Beat offers insights for entrepreneurs that should not be ignored.

What potential does Pinterest have in terms of marketing? According to Shareaholic, Pinterest is driving more referral traffic to company websites and blogs than YouTube, Google+, and LinkedIn – combined. Shareaholic’s January 2012 Referral Traffic Report ranks Pinterest as statistically equal with Twitter and Google in driving referrals, behind only Facebook and StumbleUpon.

BYOB

BYOB. You just celebrated bringing in a new year. What does BYOB mean to you?

To me, it stands for Be Your Own Boss. Having been a visionary entrepreneur for over 30 years, I am commited to BYOB…forever. I will be the first to admit that I have worked hard all my life.  At the young age of 58, I look back and recognize that it’s simply what my Mom and Dad taught me. I feel grateful for their inspiration. I have verbalized over the past few years, however, a commitment to “work smarter, not harder.” The truth is you have to be smart enough to recognize when that opportunity has arrived.  I am happy to report that I am that smart as I head into 2012.

If you truly believe that it is time to BYOB (Be Your Own Boss)...forever…and that you, too, are ready to “work smarter, not harder,” then click here and watch the video. If you find it of interest, put in your name and email, and I will invite you to a webinar and share with you how I am making daily cash.  I don’t give out my link to join me in business because I only accept people with whom I personally speak.  We must both determine if we fit as business partners.

Today, I’ve changed in other ways besides working smarter.  I am a committed socialpreneur…one who utilizes entrepreneurial principles to make a difference in our world.  It’s not enough to just make money, and lots of it.  It’s what I do with that money. If becoming a socialpreneur appeals to you, please watch the video, and make a commitment in 2012 to creating global change. On that page, you will also see how you can provide your mobile phone number to join my 2012 Secret Project Team.  Once you do that, I will text you my contact information with my personal toll-free number so you can call me anytime.  I will share information in 2012 that goes only to my Secret Project text team.

USA Today on “Why Direct Selling Works”

USA Today on “Why Direct Selling Works” This is the title, the post, and following is the insert from the USA Today on Friday, September 23, 2011. The head title says, “The Original Social Business Model.” Check it out ==>> USA Today_WhyDirectSellingWorks

Engagement with others through Social Media & the Social Business Model is not new!  It’s just delivered in a different way in today’s world.  People often connect online or digitally (text, video, FB, twitter), but in the end result, it’s all about building the relationship.  That will never change.  Technology is great, but it doesn’t replace people to people communication.  It is the glue behind “Why Direct Selling Works,” and it doesn’t matter whether that is online or offline. That’s why they call it “The Original Social Business Model.”

Who wants to be a Millionaire…I mean an Entrepreneur…I mean a Millionaire…I mean an Entrepreneur? You will see in the above pdf and from my video how interconnected those two are. Mobile Wallet?

Ok, get real.  The only way you could not have heard of a mobile wallet in recent weeks is if you had your head under a rock.  Let me clarify, that is if you are an entrepreneur, business person, or some type of internet/digital/social media expert who has a responsibility for staying on top of emerging trends.

There is no doubt that Google knows how to create the buzz in the press.

Google is ringing the bell with its mobile wallet and google offers.

As a business consultant, my commitment, however, is to offer products/systems/services that help maximize success for the business…my clients…whether it is in the area of marketing, communications, or enhanced services.

I am constantly researching and looking for the “best of the best” to bring to my clients, and that doesn’t necessarily translate to Google in this case. I seek out the best value proposition for my clients. In that quest, I recently discovered the Wiki Pay Mobile Wallet.

Wiki Pay Mobile Wallet, a semi-finalist in the New Ventures Contest sponsored by Harvard Business School, will cut your processing costs by as much as 80%, accelerate cash, reduce chargebacks, provide a savings vehicle for paying employees/sub-contractors/reps, and create a significant new revenue stream. Google simply cannot compete with that.

Sound interesting? Keep reading!

Ok, I hear you saying, “What is WikiPay?

I can tell you that people love the name, without even knowing what WikiPay is!

WikPay is a proprietary mobile and online commerce solutions platform that empowers customers through a free application download, to perform real-time transfers, scheduled transfers, account inquiries for balance and transaction history, bill payments, notifications and alerts, and transaction security verifications. P2P, C2B, and B2B payment applications as well as a robust mobile marketing service.

Most people’s next question is, “How do I get one?” My answer, “No problem. Just go to  WikiPay and you will be able to sign up…for FREE! It’s a 2 minute registration.  It is painless, unlike many payment tools. Or, even quicker, scan the QR code below & it’s a two second registration.

Ok, it gets better. WikiPay will soon be introducing NFC functionality for which, Google is already paving the way!  Thank you Google!

Next question people ask, “In a crowded space what sets WikiPay apart?”

This is the easy part.

Fast, simple, free merchant registration. No lengthy time consuming application. No underwriting. No credit check. No set-up fee. No monthly fee. No chargebacks. No minimal volume requirement. No hidden fees. No fine print.

A two-minute registration has you up & running, cutting the cost of payment processing by 50% to as much as 80%.

WikiPay merchant cost…Your first 30 payments every month are FREE. The fee for subsequent payments in a given month: 1% subject to a one dollar maximum. You can drastically reduce those PayPal or Visa/MC merchant fees! Yahoo! No, Yahoo is not involved and neither is Google!

Merchants can now accept payments without the typical fees and charge-backs associated with conventional merchant services. They save up to 2% + $0.30 per transaction on WikiPay compared to competitors.

Ok…it gets even better! No kidding!

  • Viral in the extreme. You do not need a WikiPay account to receive money. Users can send money to an email address or a cell phone via text. A two-minute registration, immediate access to funds, and another WikiPay product evangelist is birthed.
  • Increased Market. Consumer demand for ways to pay with cash versus credit is at an all-time high. About 45% of U.S. adults either have no credit cards or have insufficient available credit. WikiPay pushes and pulls money via ACH making its reach broader than that of credit cards. It costs you less when a customer pays you through WikiPay. You get your money sooner, and it’s less likely to be reversed.
  • Improved funds availability. WikiPay provides quicker access to funds than credit transactions – next day funds availability.
  • Optional MasterCard debit card. One of the least expensive “total cost of use” cards on the market – a perfect solution for the more than 10 million unbanked and nearly one in four now categorized as under-banked in the United States.
  • mBlast. Merchants leverage and optimize their mobile potential through unlimited 2-way, interactive mobile messaging, including sms texts, alerts, and couponing. $9.99 a month – no set-up fee, no per message pricing.mWallet’s mobile text marketing application, mBlast, enables merchants and micro- merchants cost-effective and innovative marketing capabilities through targeted text messaging utilizing the client’s customer databaseWith eBlast’s Mobile Commerce Platform, a customized merchant back end panel, clients are able to launch instant marketing campaigns or schedule messaging for advertising, product offers, coupons, alerts or announcements. There is no contract and the merchant can add services at any time.
  • Inexpensive all-purpose payment tool. Send payroll, commissions, and expenses through WikiPay – whether or not the intended recipient is a current WikiPay user. Use convenient batch processing at a cost of $1 per hundred items – one penny per transaction – and get payments there safely the next day. WikiPay provides text and email transaction verification in the form of receipts / history
  • Added benefit… Consumers enjoy convenient, safe, secure transactions that cost less.

YES there’s more… saved the best for last.

If you are a business (online or offline), you can turn a traditional cost center (merchant fees and paying employees/sub-contractors/reps) into a dynamic new multi-stream revenue center!

If you are an individual, of a business, you never have to pay those high fess at PayPal…ever again!

Ok. Now you’re going to have to call me at 1-888-440-9780 to get the juicy details. As a WikiPay Master Agent, I have information that can transform your business (if you have one!), or your non-profit, or your group in terms of creating a revenue stream…or your personal lifestyle which includes making purchases or paying bills.

Yes, I have your solution.

CoachBQclub

Coach B Q Club

Why do I have one? Couponing is not a new concept.  I’m a ’53 baby, and I remember my mother clipping coupons that we used at the grocery store.

So what’s changed about couponing today?  The online availability and the “now, wow, factor” of the “daily deal.”

Offer a limited amount of something in a limited time and it’s like throwing kerosene on a fire.  It explodes and sometimes goes viral.  The creation of that scarcity model combines an old habit into a new way of purchasing that economists speculate will be the primary one for the next decade.  Can you say “Groupon” or “Social Living?”

Coach B’s Q Club (Coupon Club), however, is different. You will still be notified of great deals (50%-90% off), but in your neighborhood AND by your area of interest.  Do you really want a coupon from Groupon about a product that holds no interest for you? Now, you don’t have to settle for that any more.

Click on image below to join!

You may now be wondering, “What if I am a business and want to run a coupon program?”  Great! This model offers some new twists which I believe will be of interest to you.

#1? The business will not pay one penny up front!  Now, that’s some great news in a somewhat shaky economy!

Qnanza, a division of AdzZoo, has created 5 billion impressions for its customers during the past 16 months. This will be a local deal website where local businesses and consumers can connect through huge deals offered by local businesses to attract new customers.

Unlike traditional “Daily Deal” sites that offer a large availability of product/services in a time-restricted sales offering (generally 24 hrs), Qnanza will offer a limited number of deals over a monthly time period.

Why the change? AdzZoo’s research uncovered a problem with the time-restricted sales model of daily deals.  Selling hundreds or even thousands of deals in a short time puts a significant strain on a business by overloading them with new customers within a week or two of the sale causing:

1. Inventory problems

2. Employee strain or having to hire employees to handle the overload and possibly firing them a week or two later after the surge is gone.

3. Bad service/first impression

4. Cash flow strain

5. No access to customer base from company to continue to market to buyers of coupons

6. No unredeemed coupons revenue share

The Qnanza model will provide a steady flow of new customers over a month or multiple months so businesses can have new customers all year long at no risk to the business owner.

That’s a deal that should interest a lot of businesses!  If you are a business, or want to offer these coupon programs to businesses in the United States of Canada, check it out!

Gary Vaynerchuk Celebrates Death of Old Media

How about you?  Where do you stand in this game-changing, business/marketing paradigm shift?

Are you ignoring all of it, being reluctantly pulled along, or are you embracing the future…today?

Why write too many words when Gary makes the point so clearly in this video?

I agree with Gary. I received an electric typewriter for high school graduation.  I am 57, a “woman a certain age,” who is embracing Nu Media and not looking back. If you watch Gary’s video and don’t register for my free 10 week NuMedia webinar series, I will know where you stand! (yep…off the radar!)

Want to build a “Groupon” Daily Deal site?

Want to build a “Groupon” Daily Deal site?

Now you can!  It’s called Daily Deal Builder. There’s no reason you can’t target a niche and create a business opportunity.  This model is predicted to be the premier one over the next 10 years.

It is hands down the best solution for building deal of the day and group buying websites.

Did you hear that Groupon recently turned down Google’s 6 Billion offer (cash)?  Makes you think, doesn’t it?

40% of all online purchases are impulse ones.  That is the hook with daily deals websites.  It combines the elements of scarcity (you have to purchase before the time runs out) with a 50% discount.

Daily Deal Builder provides you the software platform to create and run a highly successful daily deal website! You can be up and running in under 48 hours…no kidding!

You will discover the #1 secret to user generated traffic!

This is the best way to create a new online brand, or add a “deal of the day” system onto your current website, whether you are online or offline!  It works either way.  That is the beauty of Daily Deal Builder.

Get creative…use your imagination…set your “deal of the day” and the sky’s the limit. Daily Deal Builder allows you total control of this hot new internet phenomenon. Create profit today with the opportunity created by the Groupon buzz!

Line2 for androids will explode Mobile Media Revolution

Line2 for androids will explode Mobile Media Revolution

You might be asking, “Why?”

Great question! For starters, Line2 took 1st Place in the 2011 Mobile Apps Showdown at the Consumer Electronics Show. Additionally, Line2, which has been available for iPhones, is now available for androids as of January, 2011.  Line2 gives you two lines on one phone, and, as David Pogue with the New York Times says, “has the potential to shake up an industry.”

You only have to look at what Toktumi is already doing to reinvent telecommunications. Its award-winning Line2 app allows you to have two lines on one phone…the only dual-mode VoIP/cellular system in the world that enables you to both send and receive calls in this manner. Line 2 is currently only available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch (yes it can make those last two into a phone!).  Soon… in January of 2011…Line 2 will be available for the android series.  That is the BIG and exciting news. (UPDATE TO THIS POST:  It has happened.  It is available for androids now!)

Toktumi offers PBX features like auto-attendant (“Press 1 for…”), call screening, caller-specific call forwarding, after-hours settings, Mac/PC-based calling, and Desk Top Share. Line 2 comes as part of the package (or you can get just that part separate if you don’t need the previous features).  Click in the right side bar to get your FREE 30 day trial! =====>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Peter Sisson speaks…People listen!

Peter is Peter Sisson, Founder and CEO of Toktumi with the award-winning Line2 app.  Look what he’s saying relative to air travel and overseas travel and how Toktumi Unlimited with Line 2 can impact it.

“Most airlines prohibit voice calls on airplanes, and in survey after survey we see that most travelers agree with this position. Toktumi applauds the air carriers for continuing to upgrade their fleets with Wi-Fi, because email, web surfing and texting are wonderful benefits while in flight. But we do not condone the use of Line2 or any other application to make voice calls over Wi-Fi inside the passenger cabin. That would drive everybody crazy!”

As a safe and considerate alternative to voice calls, the Line2 app offers carrier-grade SMS texting, allowing customers to exchange unlimited text messages with any SMS-enabled phone on any carrier. Unlike competing texting-only applications for the iPhone, the Line2 app combines VoIP calling and texting in one application, so that customers can use one number for both types of communication. There is no other calling app available on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch that offers this.

Line2′s carrier-grade SMS texting is really useful while in flight,” Sisson adds. “You can let people know about delays, make plans for the evening, or just pass the time texting with your friends and family.”

Line2 customers get unlimited calling and unlimited SMS texting. When calculating the savings achieved by moving to the most affordable AT&T calling plan and using Line2 over Wi-Fi for voice calls, users can reduce their cell phone bill by as much as $50 per month.

More About Line2 & why soon being available for the androids is BIG news!
Here’s how Line2 being the first and only truly dual-mode VoIP/cellular calling app for the iPhone impacts customers.  Among other features, they can place and receive calls over Wi-Fi or over cellular using the same number. If Wi-Fi isn’t available, Line2 will use the cellular network to place or receive the call. Customers also have the option of placing VoIP calls over the 3G data network, allowing them to avoid cellular minute charges while still having complete mobility. The application detects the best available network based on customer preferences and places and receives calls over that network automatically.

Line2 is also one of the few VoIP apps that features true multi-tasking support on Apple’s iOS4. This means customers can receive calls on their Line2 number even when they are running other apps, browsing the web, or listening to music. Line2 customers can be sure to never miss a call, even if they don’t have cell reception.

Line2′s Wi-Fi capabilities allow international travelers to place and receive calls while overseas without incurring voice or data roaming charges. Using Line2, calls to any number back home will be free, as will calls to other Line2 users, wherever they are worldwide. Calls to international numbers start at $0.02 per minute, whether calling from home or abroad. Line2′s Wi-Fi call quality is also better than traditional cellular quality, and Wi-Fi calls between two Line2 customers use 16-kHz HD audio for crystal clear sound quality that is stunning to experience.

When Peter speaks, people listen!

Be listening. The highly-anticipated announcement about Line2 for the androids should come soon!
(Again, I am updating this post now, but it has arrived!)

Scan for a Cause – How Non-Profits Can Benefit from QR Code Campaigns

Scan for a Cause – How Non-Profits Can Benefit from QR Code Campaigns

Get creative and get scanning.  Tie it into a mobile text campaign and you will rock your non-profit world!

You might be thinking, “I don’t understand it and doubt our donors are using QR codes.” Frankly, that is not the most important aspect.  The following statistic is: The mobile web is expected to be bigger than desktop internet use by 2015.  Why wait until then to be on the cutting edge with your non-profit marketing?

This new Facebook page seeks to bring awareness to lesser-known non-profits by combining qr codes with mobile. Text “QRC” to 90210 for updates and scan below and join us in spreading the word!

Click here for a list of free card readers to scan QR codes or scan below for list if you already have a card reader, but want to add others.

I just recently did a blog post on qr codes and bit.ly, the url shortner that is so popular. Check it out and see how bit.ly automatically creates qr codes. That will explain more about them; however, consider the following…

It is really cool, and can work great when sharing links for your non-profit.  The reason bit.ly is a great option is that it ties into your existing metrics…giving you an integrated, real-time view of clicks.

With the bit.ly url shortening service, you can add a .qr to the end of a bit.ly url you have created and it will go to the qr code. (Here’s the qr code for this post http://bit.ly/NonProfitQRcodes.qr)

Here’s another example. Click here and the picture below with the qr code to scan is what you will see! Scan it…it’s a great cause!

You can also add a + to the short url and get the QR code in the upper right hand corner.  Like magic!

Click here and see what happens!
