Well…I know I am.
That is why I’ve spent my network marketing career of 2 years with one primary company, where I am in the top 3%. As a life-long coach and visionary entrepreneur/marketing expert (Advertising Specialties Institute Small Business of the Year in the U.S. in 1995), who has been in business for myself since 1983, I sought a way to promote my network marketing business ANY WAY other than talking with friends and family, and tackling every person within a 3 foot range. That led me to utilizing new school technology and internet marketing since I live in Blaine, WA, a small town just 5 minutes from the Canadian border.
My distaste for MLM Hype, the Dismal Failure Rate (97%) in Network marketing, and Information Overload that leads people to feel overwhelmed and stuck vs. energized and empowered is why I will soon launch a new blog. Is LYF Brands & their LYF Center on their way to Winning the Kentucky Derby or the NCAA Final Four?

When I visit Kentucky (where I formerly coached women’s Basketball at the University of Kentucky in the 80′s), people still ask me if I miss coaching. I always reply that I can’t miss what I haven’t left…I just ride a different vehicle. You’ll notice that my tag line is “born to coach.”
I do admit that this time of year makes me nostalgic, not just for basketball, but for the races at Keeneland and at Churchill Downs where the Derby is run. Grab your pen and paper, and fill in your NCAA bracket, both men’s and women’s and enjoy the ride of your life with the tournament.

Are you thinking, “WHO is LYF Brands?…WHAT the hell is Blue Ocean Strategy?…and WHAT does Yellow Tail (surely you have heard of Yellow Tail even if you don’t drink wine) have to do with LYF Brands?
Great questions! Ok, please allow me to answer them one at a time.
1. “WHO is LYF Brands?
LYF Brands became the new kid on the block in the network marketing industry (specifically the health/wellness/lifestyle field) when Founder Michael Han held the first “official” call on Friday, March 12, 2010.

I believe the 10 key points provide a blueprint for LYF Brands and that “How Blue Is Your Ocean?” provides reflective questions for consideration as LYF Brands enters a crowded market, much like Yellow Tail did back in 2001.Different markets? Yes. Similar scenarios? Yes.
A case study on the website explains how Yellow Tail used Blue Ocean Strategy to differentiate itself in the very crowded wine market. Yellow Tail literally did the following and LYF Brands must do the same.

Before I do that, a shout out to Clare Kelway and Sheldon Davis for turning me onto the book, Blue Ocean Strategy (which I’ve just ordered). That led me to search for the BOS website. I am mesmerized by the information.

Ok…so LYF is pronounced LIFE. That is why I say that Life with LYF will never be the same with Michael Han at the helm!
To read what Michael Han has accomplished with his billion dollar company, Envion, turning plastics into fuel (for one thing), it’s not surprising at all to discover that he is now embarking on the journey of his LYF with his foray into developing a network marketing company that he says will create “life” (how about LYF) beyond his existence on this earth!
