A 5 Letter word with 4 Letter Emotion Explains WHY EVERY PERSON IN NORTH AMERICA SHOULD HAVE A HOME-BASED BUSINESS
In the midst or marketing, it is important that people remember some basics. The following will walk you through an understanding of the financial consequences behind my statement, “A Five Letter word with Four Letter Emotion Explains Why Every Person in North America should own their own business.”
TAXES is the Five Letter Word with FOUR LETTER Emotion!
I am offering 9 webinars next week on this topic on How to Pay Less Tax LEGALLY. WHY? I want to take away any excuse you might have for not attending, as well as any excuse for not understanding how You Can Increase Your Net Worth by Thousands! In fact, I want you to attend and bring every friend you have who IS or IS NOT in a small home-based business. The sign-up links are at the bottom of this post
Two important insights offered by the Forbes 400 (Richest people in America) are important to understand:
- Forbes magazine conducted a survey and it was determined that 75% percent of the Forbes 400 (rich people, not your broke friends/family with an opinion) said the best way to build wealth is to become and stay debt free.
- Every issue of the Forbes 400 repeats the same lesson over and over again: The best way to build financial independence is through your own business.
Having acknowledged the above, hang with me through this post and it could literally CHANGE YOUR LIFE! Are you willing to accept that the above two concepts from the likes of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Lawrence Ellison (Oracle), The Waltons (no, I am not talking about the old TV show… I am refering to the “Waltons” as in Wal-Mart…Jim Walton, S Robson Walton, Alice Walton, Christy Walton), Sergey Brin and Larry Page (Google), Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Phil Knight (Nike), Jeffrey Bezos (Amazon), and Oprah might be fairly easy to implement and be ideas from which YOU can benefit? (Notice it doesn’t say a business has to be HUGE…it just says it has to be YOURS!)
While you might be focusing on how little you have in common with the Forbes 400, my goal is to help you shift your thinking and beliefs to realize the potential you each have for implementing both of these simple concepts! First, I want to make sure we are all on the same page. Check out the following and tell me whether or not this is a true statement:
Whether you are an employee, or self employed, you pay TAXES.
Well…I guess I finally found SOMETHING that every person can agree on. WOW! That feels GREAT!
Having admitted to the truth of the statement that you pay taxes, whether you are an employee or self employed, you have most likely found yourself saying on more than one occasion, “I HATE PAYING TAXES!” Now, I would venture to say that the deeper truth of that outburst of frustration is one borne out of stress and a true desire to Pay Less Tax Legally. Am I right? I mean, who in their right mind consciously wants to pay more than they owe.
Unfortunately, in the same way you twitter away money (or time) on impulse spending and instant gratification (yes, “twitter” has become a verb), you twitter away money by OVER PAYING your taxes. STOP THAT! Now, I LOVE Twitter, so I am not attaching a negative to Twitter; however, one of the challenges people have in doing social media marketing is how to balance their time. I know many who admit they have “twittered away” valuable time on Twitter! Ok, back to Taxes!
I have scheduled Webinars from March 30-April 2, at 11 a.m. PST and 6 p.m. PST, with a desire for what you owe on YOUR TAXES in 2009 to be different than what YOU PAID on your taxes in 2008. I am doing this in celebration of “APRIL-The month that causes people the most Stress because of TAXES!” Actually, allow me to clarify. I will not have the webinar at 6 p.m. PST on April 2. Friday night is date night with my spouse. I call Friday evenings “Fall Apart Night”… the night we just hang out, have a candlelit dinner, dance and enjoy the hot tub (of course, we often do this during the week, but it is a definite on Friday evening!). Anyway, less I digress…you will find the webinar schedule at the end of this blog post. Simply click on the link for the date and time of the webinar you choose to attend. Folks, 30 minutes with this “Pay Less Tax Legally” Webinar couldliterally CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
In my webinars, I will show how ANYONE…that includes YOU…can KEEP more of their money. And… If YOU take action, how YOU can potentially increase YOUR net worth by thousands of dollars.
A few questions…perhaps these will inspire you to some ”AHA” moments regarding your debt, taxes and your finances:
- Did you know that just starting a home based business triggers (on average) $10,000 in deductions out of money you ALREADY spend? If you are in a 25% tax bracket, that is $2,500 in extra cash flow.
- Did you know that applying that $2500 cash flow to a $200,000 mortgage @ 6% will save up to 9 years and up to over $81,000 in interest off YOUR mortgage?
- Did you know that according to the GAO (Govt Accountability Office), the typical small business person overpays their taxes by (on average) $11,000 a year? Now, here’s where it gets even more interesting • THAT additional cash flow applied to that same mortgage will save up to 21 years and $160,000 in interest.
- The last and more important question…Did you MAKE any more money in the above scenario? NO! You just started taking all the tax deductions you are ENTITLED to have as a small business owner…or as a “soon to be” small business owner once you attend this webinar.
The above scenario gives a blueprint on How YOU can do that, utilizing the same money you now have!

Last, but not least…if you are searching for a home-based business, Sandy Botkin has written an excellent article on How to Evaluate Any Network Marketing Opportunity. Who is Sandy Botkin? Sandy is the author of the best selling book Lower Your Taxes Big Time. Additionally, Mr. Botkin was one of eight attorneys selected by the Internal Revenue Service to train all new attorneys to the Internal Revenue Service’s Corporate Tax Division. Bottom line is that Lower Your Taxes Big Time is one of the books listed in my “Favorite things.“
