Entrepreneur Magazine agrees that Global Virtual SOHO Revolution is Your Future with Peter Sissons’s Toktumi Line 2 VoicePoint
SOHO is the acronym for Small Office Home Office…and the SOHO Revolution has begun! Forbes fired the shot that got people’s attention, claiming 79 Million people will start a SOHO business during the next three years. It’s also both global and virtual with San Francisco-based Toktumi CEO/Founder Peter Sisson creating the most affordable, full-featured virtual SOHO phone service available to help mobile entrepreneurs retain the flexibility, professional image, and proper home/work balance they need to lead successful lives. After unleashing Toktumi in 2006, he partnered it through his affiliate program with Dell and Staples, and then recently convinced Apple to approve his Line 2 app, creating a free second cell phone line for people who have an iPhone or Blackberry. Keep reading…the deal’s even sweeter than you can imagine!
First…A couple of questions to ask yourself…
Is Your SOHO Business Prepared for the Global Virtual Smart Phone Revolution?
Do you want to be a SOHO worker or a SOHO PROFESSIONAL?
Toktumi Line 2 was recently featured in the New York Times and in USA Today on April 29. The June issue of Entrepreneur lists it as one of “Entrepreneur’s Annual 100 Brilliant Ideas”!
Entrepreneur writers Kara Ohngren and Jennifer Wang say…
A bold concept perfectly in sync with the moment: It’s what great companies are built on. It’s what shapes the future. It’s entrepreneurship at its best. Where can you find that kind of thinking now?
You find that kind of thinking with Sisson. The article is timely as he launches VoicePoint in June to offer Toktumi Line 2 peer-to-peer.
Smart Phones are taking over. By 2012, Nielsen researchers say, they will be the most commonly used mobile devices in the U.S. And you know what that means: more apps–and tons of money–to be made. In fact, smartphone customers this year are expected to spend $6.2 billion on more than 4.5 million downloads.
The following in-depth analysis will show you why you can’t beat what Sisson’s offering…a Toktumi Line 2 FREE 30 Day Trial!
What have you got to lose? Nothing! What have you got to gain? Everything! Once you have the experience, you’ll have the “Toktumi” glow (oh…did I tell you that’s pronounced “Talk To Me?), and people will be asking you where you got your Global Virtual SOHO system. And you’ll have people joining our SOHO Revolution because you’ll have an answer if you want one, an answer that benefits them and you.
Sisson’s truly leading the way for the SOHO Professional by providing essential merged communications. Toktumi even turns your iPad or iPod Touch into a phone! Don’t have an iPod Touch? I didn’t either. I will soon. Look for a Key Bank in your area. (I live in Blaine, WA, but was presenting in Port Angeles, WA and worked with Key Bank Relationship Manager Robert Porrazzo after seeing an ad in the local newspaper. How perfect is the synergy of his “title” for those of us who are committed to attraction marketing? Email him at robert_c_porrzaao@keybank.com or call him at 360-452-4554).
Key Bank is offering a free iPod Touch for opening a new checking account. For $14.95 a month I can turn my iPod Touch into a third phone line (or you can ditch your expensive cell plan and just use the iPod Touch). I am purchasing an iPhone now that I can use the dual mode cell/VoIP and not have to worry about dropped AT & T calls, AND reduce my cell bill, AND have a second free line on my new iPhone.
Edward Baig of USA Today best describes why I am ecstatic…
While getting calls through when your cellular reception is lousy is Line2’s main reason to crow, there are others. You might actually save money. Toktumi’s service costs $14.95 a month for unlimited calling in the USA and Canada, which you have to pay on top of regular AT&T monthly rates. But the assumption is you’ll make a lot of calls when you’re near a Wi-Fi hot spot — and those calls don’t count against your regular AT&T voice allotment.
So you may be able to downgrade to the cheapest $39.99, 450-minute AT&T monthly voice plan vs. the unlimited $69.99 monthly plan.
Even after piling on Toktumi’s fees, you come out ahead. VoIP calls made over AT&T’s data (not voice) network also don’t count against your monthly allowance.
Line2 adds a second number to your iPhone or Blackberry that works over 3G, WiFi or Cellular networks using the same number; an industry first. Ideal if you have either poor cell reception or just want to reduce your cell bill…or…how about both!
Call my toll-free # on the phone and see how it works!
Entrepreneur Magazine looked at 10 areas that are growing fast and found 10 companies in each that bring jaw-dropping ingenuity to the table. Toktumi is listed as one of ten Mobile Tech companies to watch!
Speaking of watching. Check out this interview below with Sisson.
Toktumi Line 2 FREE 30 Day Trial and interest created by the articles in USA Today and the New York Times , you will understand why 80,000 downloads of Toktumi Line 2 happened almost overnight. You’ll also have insight into why David Pogue with CNBC (his video is after Sisson’s interview) is raving about Toktumi and why Line 2 is currently ranked as the #1 Business App within the iStore.
Watch David Pogue’s video below. He does a great job of explaining Toktumi’s features!
And guess what? Sisson recently announced that Line 2 will be available for all smart phones (the droids) in about 6 more weeks.
Here are some of the features offered by Line2:
- Separate Voicemail
- Dual-mode (VoIP / Cellular)
- Call Waiting / Call Transfer
- Unlimited US/Canada VoIP calls
- Low International Rates
- 20 Person Conferencing
- Quick and Easy Setup
Toktumi delivers more features and greater value for less money than any other SOHO virtual office phone system on the market today. Customers receive all of Toktumi’s powerful features in a Free 30 Day Trial and then for just $14.95 per month! These features include: Auto Attendant, Instant Conferencing, Virtual Assistant, Regular Phone, Call Handling, Search Dialing, Custom Greetings, Cell Phone Access, PC Access, Dedicated Business Line, Dial-in Access, Unlimited Calling, Find Me Follow Me, and Visual Voicemail.
Here’s the bottom line. If you want this leading SOHO system now, the only choice is to go with Sisson’s Toktumi Line 2. Sisson is clearly leading the way and everyone else is playing catch-up. Peter Sisson and Toktumi, launching peer-to-peer through VoicePoint in June, is ready now…they’re not.
Make no mistake about it, however, others are going to be hard on his heels. There’s too much at stake in the huge Global Virtual SOHO Revolution to think that companies will stand by idly while Peter shakes and bakes in the industry all by himself. At this point, however, there is clearly no competition.
Who’s going to be the first to make their mark and compete head-to-head with VoicePoint? Mum’s the word….can’t say right now, but I have some ideas!
If it’s true that the “gold road to the future,” is paved by presenting a Professional SOHO image, how do you create that allure of “we’re larger than our small group of 5-10 or 20″ without breaking the bank? How do you manifest a professional image while continuing your commitment to mobility, flexibility & freedom…the trademarks of the global virtual SOHO? Is it enough to have a land line and one cell phone that takes a message?
Absolutely not…if you want to present a professional image.
SOHO is here to stay. As LYF Coach Michael Kelly says…
At LYF, we believe that your OFFICE is wherever you are in the world.
I am passionate about SOHO. I have been an entrepreneur since 1983 and my business was ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute) Small Business of the Year in the United States. I lugged around a huge cellphone in a bag, placing orders up and down the highway. Although it was “mobile,” it certainly wasn’t cheap with my cell bill running around $1000 per month!
I never want a J-O-B. I want a life and what I love… Training2Transform SOHO professionals and coaching you to reach for your SOHO dreams. Why not be lean and green as you eliminate the carbon footprint by working from home and from wherever you are?
How’s this for an organic ranking on Page 1 of Google when searching for Toktumi and USA Today? (their article on Toktumi came out on April 29 and I wrote an earlier post on May 7. ) Today is May 27 and it is now ranked #2 behind the USA Today article!
With today’s announcement that Entrepreneur Magazine is featuring Toktumi Line2 in their June issue, I decided to do an update post. Look how this one is already ranked! #1 above Entrepreneur Magazine & Toktumi.
I recalled earlier in this post that Forbes states that 79 Million will open SOHO businesses in the next three years. Many network and affiliate marketers are part of this SOHO revolution. In fact, they make up the majority. They also make up one of the reasons that some do not look upon the industry as a legitimate profession. The manner in which they conduct and present themselves might be the problem. Forget the scam claims and the MLM hype. Although those companies do not represent the majority, they do perhaps grab the headline attention and account for the #1 reason people might be skeptical of the industry.
There are many great companies in affiliate and network marketing. They produce more millionaires than any other type of SOHO. The majority have great products…great comp plans…great opportunities. You simply have to utilize your due diligence during your research process, discover your passion and go with it. When you believe in what you do, people seize upon your energy and the rest is history.
How did you answer the following?

Your virtual SOHO telecommunications system communicates the difference.
It’s time to check out the real scoop on Toktumi Line 2…read it yourself.
“For small businesses that want to present a more professional image to callers, Line2 might be just the right solution. Toktumi notes that the app also works with both the iPod touch (Wi-Fi only) and iPad (Wi-Fi or 3G).”
@Keith – Line2 works on my 2nd generation iPod Touch. I bought the Apple earbuds with built-in microphone and the sound quality is excellent.

“Last year I signed up for a landline phone for my office. I wish I hadn’t… With a service like Line2, there’s no need for a physical phone at my place of work. I give my Line2 number to all my contacts, and it’s just like having a phone at work — except this office phone is always with me.”
“For a little $1 iPhone app, Line2 sure has the potential to shake up an entire industry…Any time you’re in a wireless hot spot, Line2 places its calls over Wi-Fi instead of AT&T’s network. That’s a game-changer. Where, after all, is cellphone reception generally the worst? Right — indoors. In your house or your office building, precisely where you have Wi-Fi. Line2 in Wi-Fi means rock-solid, confident reception indoors. Line2 also runs on the iPod Touch. When you’re in a Wi-Fi hot spot, your Touch is now a full-blown cellphone, and you don’t owe AT&T a penny. ”
