Years ago we talked about the “Three R’s” and their importance to our educational system. They were acknowledged to be the foundations of a basic skills oriented education program within schools: Reading, wRiting and aRithemetic.

Wikipedia says, “The phrase is attributed to a toast given by Sir William Curtis around 1825. Since its original creation, many others have created new words for what the R’s stand for.”

Today, we have the four R’s. Real. Relevant. Relational. Revolution. And these are important to our integrated health that includes our physical, psychological, and spiritual selves.

Real – Life is fast paced. Ironically, there exists among people a deeper desire to slow down, be present, and be real…to live more authentically
Relevant – People want to experience compelling dialogue and conversations about anything and everything.
Relational – Real & Relevant conversations lead to enduring, long-term relational exchanges. It is not only important to have a connection with others, but to sustain it.
Revolution – Real, Relevant, & Relational all lead to a Revolution in the positive sense.

There’s a REVOLUTION happening…and it’s with the PEOPLE. When the people rise up to claim their personal power for the good of all, the SHIFT happens at warp speed. It’s time to CONNECT GLOBALLY!

We’ve hit a tipping point. Governments can no longer control people because they can no longer keep them from communicating with one another due to the internet and the systems it allows through FB, Twitter and other social media. Once people can no longer be kept from communicating with one another, you can no longer “control the message.” The truth prevails! A SHIFT happens!

The intention behind the launching of our Facebook Club, iConnect & Engage is so simple.

You can’t hate someone whose story you know. Get to know one another and it’s nirvana. That’s why “There’s Got To Be a Better Way” is our mantra.

It is imperative that we reach out and connect to one another…it is a matter of choosing to thrive vs. survive How we engage one another, how we collaborate, and how we leverage our talents as a collective whole can create a shift in the blink of an eye.

It doesn’t matter from what country you hail. It doesn’t matter what you do. It doesn’t matter what language you speak. It doesn’t matter who you love. It doesn’t matter what kind of home you have…or don’t have. It doesn’t matter what gender you are. It doesn’t matter if you own a company or stay home with the children…plus it doesn’t matter if the “you” who stays home is a man. We may be different in some ways, but in the ways that truly matter, the differences disappear.

A human is a human is a human. People want to connect and express themselves in more authentic ways. And people want to make a difference in our world.

Social media is a great vehicle for engaging a global audience, whether it’s friending on Facebook, tweeting on Twitter, linking on LinkedIn, or sharing real, relevant & relational videos on You Tube that start a Revolution.

Let’s REACH…Reach out to one another and lift up one another.

Let’s share our dreams with one another. Let’s Reach for our Dreams! If we don’t, who will?

Our intention is for iConnectEngage to bring you the global connections and engaging that you desire.

Our combined talents offer a collective intelligence and the New Expert! The value of diversity cannot be underestimated. It is fertile ground in which to play…and it inspires us in the way that communicates, “Together, we are better!”

Through our iConnect & Engage Facebook Club, we want to be the experts on providing a platform and environment for cross-cultural connecting and engaging!

One part of Cindy’s post outlines the cultural differences in how people respond to social media. She cites the expertise of four culturally minded social media players who look at four areas – Engagement, Hesitation, Networking, and Shyness. She examines how these impact people differently, depending on where they live. Although our focus through our iConnect & Engage Facebook Club is not on marketing, this information is still good for us to consider as we invite people from other countries around the globe to “connect and engage.”

Remember, we just launched this week. A little help from our friends would be greatly appreciated! People don’t often realize “what” they can do or “how” they can help in any situation, and yet are delighted to do both when they understand a direct request. So…here’s our wish list of requests! I have a personal philosophy of “I have the right to ask, and you have the right to say ‘No.’ ”

While you are there, click on “Suggest friends” near the top of the page on the left. A box will pop up that says, “Suggest friends to help Smart get more out of Facebook Each friend you select will get a suggestion from you to add Smart. Smart will also receive a suggestion to add the friends you select.”
Search on Facebook for our iConnect & Engage Club (FYI…since we are new, we have to accumulate 25 people before we can get a custom FB url to send people). Go there and “like” iConnect & Engage, and ask your friends to do the same!
Stick around and engage and share your insights once you have arrived at our FB iConnect & Engage Club. Remember, all great ideas or movements begin with a single step…a single action. This motions create emotions, triggering a ripple of energy toward alignment and attract people through their common intentions.
